Summary: The truth...can be easily lost... The Shrine of Lies. A putrid, stained statue built by the Liars and Deceivers, forked tongues of malice and ill intent for the Gullible. Hidden under the Shrine of Lies beneath the cold stone chalk white hatch bound by matching thick chains which no mortal had any hope of bypassing without a key down a corridor so frigid not even fire and thick clothing could keep warmth in its tomb built by the Liars and Deceivers laid the Truth forgotten by the passage of time. The Curse of Run-On Dialogue AKA; Narration Run Amok ----- Original Message ----- [What should I do] about splitting [dialogue] paragraphs that are [all] by the same character? I usually do it for emphasis or to show that there's a brief pause between them. Like when a character suddenly changes his/her topic. -- My Characters Won't Shut Up! -- Paragraphing IS supposed to be divided by character; their actions + their dialogue. However, sooner or later one will run across: Run-On Dialogue. Run-On Dialogue is when one character talks, and talks, and talks...for whole paragraphs --or pages-- at a time. Oddly enough, this problem isn't all that common, but it can happen to new writers who still haven't quite figured out how to break up their dialogue with actions and descriptions. Far more common is the creation of whole paragraphs of Internal Dialogue and Introspection, especially when one writes in First Person POV, or Third Person Close POV. This is known as

Mental health and Comfort Characters

It was difficult to post this, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to...but we all need to pay more attention to mental health. Sometimes I feel like my works are average, never ‘good’ or great’. And sometimes I feel like I’m not improving, that my writings will never reach the levels of the writers who’ve created and published Star Wars novels like E. K. Johnston (writer of the Ahsoka novel) and Claudia Gray (writer of Master & Apprentice). But I know it’s just the mental health issues talking, I just gotta keep practicing! My cousin does therapy. A loss in the family

For those who had been keeping up with my posts on Tumblr and them stopping last month January 17th which was my last Tumblr post; I had gone on vacation with my mom and grandma to Texas. The last post was created while on vacation. My grandma started having issues towards the end of the trip, and when we got home she went into rehab to get better. All seemed okay, it appeared she was getting better. But then some serious issues came up and she had to go to the ER for surgery on the morning of February 6th. Won’t go into details but my grandma sadly passed away that morning of February 6th. Before that had happened I was about to get my writings going since I was back home from the trip. But after my grandma passed away, I had been so upset. My mom and I had been very close to her. So the loss hit us hard, and is still so hard. I had been playing games most of the time though have worked some on my fanfics related stuff. Starting to recover enough to attempt

Happy New Year’s to all! Apologies, my posting dropped off. Several real life events unfortunately happened. Other than the holidays, I had gotten sick (stomach issues, but thankfully my stomach is better now), plus I was in a funk. But wanting to get myself out of it and start the new year strong! What caused it was - I felt like I was improving, that my works had gone from average to good with the Star Wars fanfic ‘A Jedi Knight's Resolve’ since I had taken lessons learned (avoiding repeating words too much and smoothing out descriptions as two examples). Then I got a review on the above mentioned fanfic in Fanfiction.net. They had constructive criticism but didn’t say whether they liked the story or not. So I sent a PM, and politely asked because I was curious; wanted to know whether it was good, bad, or average. And while they didn’t say it was bad, they said it wasn’t the most memorable story of it’s kind they’ve read. And said some things were lacking. While I appreciate

Hi!

So sorry it has been so long without a word...my mental health was in the dumps for a while but talked to my mom about it and let it out and been feeling better.

How are things going for you?

Regarding my fanfics, still been writing and world building! Though the Pilotverse has been on pause for a long time, I haven't forgotten about it! I hope to resume soon, after I update my old fanfics for some of them have very, very clunky description (to give an idea pf how bad - I described just for description's sake, the description did not flow at all), since I feel the quality makes them stick out like sore thumbs hahaha!

How has your writings been going? I know times are tough on all of us...
